Clements Engineering has recently supplied another full propeller and stern gear package to a new fishing vessel.
The 33ft long Gerry Smyth designed Maxus vessel is used for fishing off the County Donegal coast. The vessel builder returned to Clements Engineering having previously worked with them and knew that they would be able to supply products that would be the correct specification, and would work efficiently and be straightforward to install. The full package included the shaft, conventional gunmetal packed gland with GRP sterntube, GRP rudder tube, fabricated rudder and propeller which Clements Engineering manufacture and assemble in their facility in Bedfordshire.
The vessel will be on display at the Galway Fishing Expo along with another Gerry Smyth boat a 7m GM7M to which Clements Engineering have also supplied a full stern gear and propeller package.
In addition to new builds Clements Engineering undertake a great deal of repair and re-pitching work, which they mostly are able to turn around in a minimum time, understanding as they do that time out of the water can be costly for a commercial fishing vessel .
Clements Engineering will be at their usual stand number 23 at the Galway Fishing Expo 1st-2nd March.
