When Baltic launched the Legend range of lifejackets in 2015 they were confident that the range would be popular. Since then they have developed the product and extended the range to cover a variety of customer requirements.
The Legend 190 range caters for the coastal and leisure type sailing and comes in several variations: The Legend 190 Auto, and for racing, The Legend 190 Auto with Harness and the Legend 190 SLA.
As the name suggests, the Legend 190 Auto is automatically activated when immersed in water and provides the wearer with 190 Newtons of buoyancy.
The Legend 190 Auto with Harness is fitted with an integrated safety harness has a woven attachment loop to secure the lifeline.
The Legend 190 Auto SLA is fitted with an integrated safety harness as well as a sprayhood, emergency light and AIS fitting.
All the Legend 190 lifejackets have an airy mesh lining next to the body and are exceptionally comfortable and lightweight to wear. The neck opening is wider than traditional lifejackets and sits further back which adds to the overall comfort of the jacket and allows the wearer maximum movement.
Fitted with an inspection window so that users can visually check the indicators on the automatic valve the Legend 190 shows green when the lifejacket is ready for use.
The jacket is available in one size that fits wearer from 40-120 kg and has two colour options, black and red.
For 2018, Baltic has also added a Legend 165 with harness and Legend 275 with harness to their range, which will all be displayed at the Marine Equipment Trade Show (METS) on stand 12.725, which takes place 14-16 November in Amsterdam.
