It’s been a while since we’ve updated our blog, so hello and thank you for tuning in. We have had a busy start to 2018, and it looks like it’s set to continue. Busy clients mean a busy Box PR Office, just how we like it.
So what have we been doing instead of updating our blog?
January started with a trip to the YJA Young Sailor of the Year Awards in London, which Montel Fagan-Jordan from Greig City Academy and Project Scaramouche went onto win. The awards were followed by a crazy few days at the London Boat Show and in TV Studios. What was planned as a one day trip, quickly became three full days of press meetings and catching up with industry friends.
With the GDPR deadline getting closer, at Box PR we have been working with our clients, carrying out audits and putting systems in place to make sure we all comply. We are not there yet, however, every day we a step closer. This is not a process that can be rushed, we have had a steep learning curve taking external advice to make sure we are taking the right steps and that we fully understand the law and the processes. We are pleased to report that we are on track for our clients meeting the GDPR requirements by the time they take effect on 25th May 2018.
This weekend Lou from Box PR is off the RYA Dinghy Show, she will support our client Hammond Drysuits who are exhibiting at stand F38. You will also find her on the Merlin Rocket stand (B16) as she is actively involved in the class on a volunteer basis looking after their publicity and reports.
On the 6th March, we have the next Warsash Small Business Networking Group at The Little Bay, where we will be sharing our knowledge of GDPR. We’ll update you to let you know how we get on.
Before we know it Q1 of 2018 will be over, but let’s not wish it away as there is plenty to be getting on. If you need some advice on your marketing and PR activities, please get in touch email@example.com
