In addition to the leisure industry, Baltic Lifejackets design and manufacture a lot of lifejackets, buoyancy aids and floatation clothing for the commercial sector. These products have to be extra robust as they are worn day in and day out under often challenging conditions.
Williams Shipping approached Baltic with a requirement for some specialised lifejackets for their teams working on ships and around the water. With particular requirements, the new jacket was based on the popular Legend jacket. The requirements for the jacket were for a high buoyancy rating, so the jacket is 350 Newton rating with a tough PVC outer cover, and each jacket comes supplied with a sprayhood and light.
Shaun Mansbridge, Williams Shipping Compliance Manager commented “We have been working with Baltic over the last 18 months to develop a lifejacket that is suitable to our needs. At the time there was no jacket on the market that fully satisfied all our requirements and the requirements of many of our clients. Baltic was extremely proactive in developing this jacket and consulted with us at various stages to ensure it was fit for purpose. We have had the jacket in service for six months and it has exceeded all expectations. The service from Baltic has been second to none and the local office have been faultless in caring for the supply and servicing of the jackets. I’m confident this quality of product and service will continue and we look forward to working with Baltic for many years to come.”
Baltic Safety Products will be exhibiting at Seawork International where they will be showing their full commercial products on stand PY31.
