Scot Seat team compete in Mull Targa Rally

This weekend, Jonathan Young, who is Managing Director of locally based Scot Seat Group took part in the Mull Targa Rally.

Finishing a very respectable 13th place, first-time driver, Jonathan and his co-driver Julian Broadhurst competed in a 1967 Volvo Amazon 123GT rally car.

Jonathan commented “there was room for improvement but we were delighted to have been mixing it up with the more powerful cars at the front of the field. The event was challenging with some tough stages but the team had a great day and we would like to thank the organisers, marshals and everyone who worked hard to put on such a great event.”

Normally Jonathan would enjoy more comfortable seating than the 1967 Volvo, as his company, based in Fenwick, Ayrshire designs and manufacturers specialist vehicle seating.  Scot Seat Group, established in 2000 and their seats are fitted to cars, vans, lorries, emergency vehicles, military vehicles and boats throughout the world.

A keen motorsports enthusiast Jonathan previously was co-driver in the same vehicle when it took part in the Rally Historique Monte-Carlo.
